Well, you did imply that it would be ok to hit an innocent bystander if you incapacitated the shooter...
And you didn't clarify until now that you would not take a shot if you weren't confident.
It is not imagination to be aware that other people get hit on accident in situations like that. Advocating CCW and being aware of the problems with discharging the firearm is responsible.
The break in reality is advocating going head first into a situation like that and expecting only the best outcome.
I don't think that open-carry is problematic at all. It is only a problem now because society has been conditioned to "see gun, call cops." And honestly, most cops have been trained the same way: "gun = criminal."
No one needs 15 rounds

Lol. How about we exchange training certificates and see who has more range time...Do you want to do pistol only, rifle or three gun training/competitions. LMK.Last edited by LSM3; 06-09-2014, 12:41 PM.Leave a comment:

QUOTE=marshallnoise;4147329]Military gets a much bigger pass from me than LEOs and firemen. Clearly you don't know the cost of pension benefits are for both LEOs and firemen are, do you?
Me not having served the country for pay does not make me disqualified to render an opinion based on the facts at hand.http://work.chron.com/police-officer...lary-6740.html
Average median income for LEO's nationwide in 2011 was 54k + benefits. Wow they are way overpaid. Those two officers who were shot in the head yesterday while eating lunch totally were compensated. Are there states that pay more? Yes. There are many that pay less. To say that the perdominant reason is $$ is wrong.

48% of officers had a 4 year degree vs. 27% of US population. Hmmmm so they have more education and they choose police work. Yeah it must be that 54k!
For every officer making 100k there is one making 40k somewhere in the midwest/south.Leave a comment:

Is your reading comprehension at age level? Show me where I stated I would ALWAYS shoot? I stated that if you run away instead of TRYING to help you are a coward. If you run away that means you did not even try to EVALUATE if you could help. If you ONLY use your firearm to protect YOURSELF even when you could help someone else, you are a coward. I stand by THOSE statements. I initially responded to MR.Sleeves comment about only using his firearm if he is cornered with nowhere to go.
Maybe I gave you guys too much credit when I didnt spell out that I would not shoot If I was not confident in the shot.
Its hilarious that your guys post all these posts about when CCW save lives yet imagine every active shooter as a guy with a gun and a human shield around him. Is there a break in reality here or is it just me?
Lol... open carry. Worst idea ever.Leave a comment:

Attitudes like yours make CCW carriers and supporters look bad man.
I am all for protecting people around me, but ignoring the potential for shit going wrong is just stupid.
And for the record, I would prefer open carry to CCW.Leave a comment:

Its just funny how that thread is used to support CCW....yet when someone states that they would attempt to do what is celebrated in that thread they are "RAMBO" lolLeave a comment:

#2Its not about valor. Its about helping others. I responded to a comment about ONLY using a ccw to protect YOURSELF if you are cornered with nowhere to run. Its hard to evaluate if you can help if you are running out a door. Which ones worse.?
1. Letting a gunman shoot and kill people at will?
2. Firing at the gunman with the possibility of hitting a bystander?
Ill go with #2 and im going to guess that someone staring down the barrel of a killers gun would go with #2 as well....
Is going to put you into some very deep legal issues if/when you miss and hit a bystander form both a criminal and civil prosecution perspective
Oh and for the recored AGAIN the Police have NO, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH, NONE, ABSOLUTELY NO constitutional duty to put their life on the line to come save yours from anything. Many will, but many will sit in the car till back up arrives in force before acting.Last edited by mrsleeve; 06-09-2014, 12:02 PM.Leave a comment:

Clearly you don't know the cost of pension benefits are for both LEOs and firemen are, do you?If you think they ONLY do that cause they are paid you are wrong. Dear lord, you are wrong. It is obvious you have never served your country in ANY capacity. Yeah those boys being blown up in war are doing it for the $$. Officers who make 50k do it for the money. Firefighters who run in to buildings on fire do it for the $$.

Part of the attempt, my friend, is discerning if there is a clear shot and no more life is lost at the cost of my shooting at the killer. If I shoot at the killer, miss, get myself incapacitated and shot someone in the process, which is worse?
Escalation is something to avoid.Leave a comment:
