i'm about to give up on trying to keep this thread on-topic.

but i think it's a little fatuous to say that since genocide was not only perpetrated by white people, that those who've done it aren't responsible for their actions.

    i'll try once more.

Today we again have a choice, perhaps sometimes to break the law to save lives and preserve the safety of others.
that's the real question here- which is the greater good? which is ethical?

i just did some light reading on that and it seems like a tribe wanted to wipe out a more taller and light skinned tribe that were switching over to christianity. looks like black on black hate on the outside, but i can see that maybe the white devil had his hands in it pushing that war. or something.

i don't understand why diamond mining is leaving africa in ruin like you say though.
....at the hands of this white genocidal menace. corporations man, ect ect.

OP started this thread obviously well aware of the fact that some people were going to disagree with his assessment on things, otherwise he wouldn't have started it in the first place. I agree that personal attacks should be kept out of it, but to say you can't attack an argument is silly

The problem with the original post is that it doesn't have much to do with fascism.

The majority of descriptions of "fascism" in the OP are inaccurate.

The goal of fascism is not the make a white ethnostate or to kick minorities out. In fact it has very little to due with racism in general. True fascists are not Nazis. Fascism is defined by supporting a one party system where a dictator uses power (violence) to crush opposition in the misguided hope that it will help the state respond more efficiently to domestic and outside threats.

Fascism is kind of like an absolute monarchy; very efficient if you're lucky enough to have a wise benevolent leader, but ultimately often leads to disaster for the regular citizens.

National socialism agrees with some parts of fascism but adds lots of terrible racist bullshit that was straight from Hitler's demented mind.

Traditionally true fascists distance themselves from nazis. This is all high-school level history that I'm sure everyone in this thread was exposed to at one point...

So when Antifa uses violence to shut down a speaker who just wants to peacefully talk about ongoing political issues from an alternate viewpoint, it seems a lot like actual fascism to me.

I support free speech, liberal society, conservative finances, and the rule of law to maintain a democratic society. Antifa seems contrary to some of these political ideals by using violence to suppress free speech. The fact that those attempting to further Antifa's ideology do not appear to understand fascism tends to make me feel right to be skeptical..

check the huffpo article i linked a couple pages back- they admitted that that was, in fact, their goal. in their own words.

call them "neo-nazis" instead of "fascists" if you like, but that kind of seems like splitting hairs.

the idea behind starting the thread was an attempt to clarify what antifa is actually about by someone participating in the movement. admittedly, i've had varying degrees of success here, but i can't do much about "but breitbart or alex jones said this".

follow-on to the tennessee event mentioned previously:

Splinter is your home for news and opinions that challenge power in our political and economic system that's becoming more unhinged each and every day.

their event was counter-protested, so they went and started a bar fight about it. punched a white woman in the face for daring to sit down for dinner with her black boyfriend.

*these* are the assholes we have a problem with. ok? stopping them from doing this kind of shit is not "silencing free speech".
