I would guess the only downside is increased shifter buzz, but on a track/race car that's not really an issue.

I was going to order the 1.9 and bushings and stuff soon, but I may wait till we hear more about that DTM replica setup, or at least see if the write up is easy.... That looks awesome, and you still reduce throw, and it's not notchy... win

You're using the 1.9 lever with it and new bushings and stuff? And it's working great, no issues? Shorter throw, etc... All you have to do is hack off the excess and drill the holes and find bolts to mount it with?

A z3 1.9 shifter might not have a short enough throw. The selector rod might be tilted upwards, since the pivot point is raised so much.
Works great, no issues. Just "hack and drill" :D
