    rotating offset shock mount

    Yes thats them.

There supposed to be acceptable in the stock class as an OEM replacement.

    Offset hole.
They just rotate to the desired offset.

I got the intake in last night.
    Sounds good.
Feels like a little better throttle response.

I'm getting the shocks springs installed tomorrow morning.
Still not sure the Suspension Tecniques springs are the right choice.
    Any suggestions??
Any Reasons why I should get the Eiback Pro-Kit intead???

    Cheers,

I actually work for that old guy. He's been letting me Auto-x the J-stock E30 M3. you've probably seen it before:

        Dinan J-stock suspension
        8 point weld in cage
        15x7 basketweaves w/ Toyo RA1s
        Simpson 5 point harnesses
Sparco steering wheel w/ quick release.

This is by far the best handling car I have ever driven... just lacks power. It's for sale BTW.

Speaking of the 540, I talked him into doing a drift contest at willowsprings on the 20th. The suspension setup will be rear sways on the stiffest setting, front loose, 235/40r17 cheap ass tires in the rear, 255/40r17 Toyo RA1s up front. The best mod is the 62 year old senior citizen behind the wheel. Those drift kids should be in for a rude awakening.

                    Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205/55R15 on 15" weaves

                    Brakes: stock with stainless lines

good setup for street, ok for track. understeers mildly at high speeds (as someone mentioned, esses especially). provides easy to control 4wheel drift if you steer super sharp (yes on purpose)

what i would change: decent brakes...something to fit under the 15's (have 2 sets, will put race rubber on sometime. full slick maybe but would need to baffle sump/fuel tank) 280-300mm disc with wilwood superlites, but $$

front camber plates to help dial out some understeer: supposed to be on order from IE, but have not shipped in about 2 months

if i was going more hardcore track, would prob go the j stocks, i really like em in a friends race car. unsure if i would add the STsways

roll cages are great, but to keep one practical you dont gain the full benefit of tying to strut towers. front strut brace is mint, rear doesnt do bugger all.

would also look into a faster rack, e30 one is SLLOOOWW. like the z4 one though.

in the nearer future may do m3 diff bushing/urethane trailing arm bushes

but im done for the moment with cars...engine swaps frustrate me right now!

Edit: run some cheap (Jamex) bucket seats for track, black leather sports otherwise.
also have an e28 23.X??mm master cylinder. reduce pedal travel a wee bit and make heel toeing better. have ABS

Tell us more about your car, Gus --- specifically interested to hear more about how it performs on track days.

Also - are you happy w/ your rear sway bar? I'm debating whether or not I want a big front and small rear, or bigger at front and rear.

                      Thanks!

Well, it doesnt work right now! getting some wiring sorted then back into the fray.

its ok on track days....like all e30's too slow, but i like it...if i was really wanting to improve it would want to get rid of some understeer, and put some track rubber on my spare set of baskets, and do brakes..but you can see where im getting at, never ending! ideally would sr20det it to lose the weight up front first and work around that

def like the rear sway...very noticeable swapping between the two...not a big fan on too stiff rear sways though...on a friends race car it lights up inside wheel to much on tightish corners (ST sways)
