The whole baggy clothes thing is because the poor and underprivliged people in the ghettos had to pass clothes along therefore most kids got hand me downs and they were usually too big.

Sagging, brings back memories of me as a VERY skinny white kid in junior high wearing baggy pants, wallet and chain, white undershirt and longsleeve button down only buttoned at the top, and thinking THE OFFSPRINGs Bad Habit was soooooo badass and rebellious.
