Im in similar boat with my swap. Maybe a brand new stock intake boot can be manipulated onto the 3.5maf with some heat gun action and some lube? I say brand new bc an old one will rip, I tried.

When I change to the stock 3" MAF, I have to change to the stock M50 chip

When I change to the stock M50 chip, I have to change to the stock M50 injectors

THEN I have to hope that the M50 chip and M50 injectors will work fine on my M52 that has S52 cams..

            waffles...

edit: this really makes me think about selling the car in the near future... :( If Im going to be paying for an illegal smog, I want it to be worth it! haha This thing should pass just fine right now, but they see the intake boot and shit hits the fan
Getting the car BAR certified is no big deal man. Not something worth selling the car over.

Install stock boot and MAF with M50 injectors and chip and smog it. That stuff is easy to change.

What does this show me? It was running back in 2010. Is it still running? How much maintenance does it need if it is still alive? If it's still alive...honestly it's only been a max of ~4 years 9 months. That's still quite a short period of time...

Ive found most of the parts, not the injectors or chip yet though. Im worried how it will all run with the S52 cams though with all the other parts. Swapping the boot would be the easiest way since I could keep everything else, if I can squeeze it on the bigger MAF
