E30 truck finally on the road again! 5 lug swap complete. Went to Irvine today and picked up some 16" 328is wheels for it. Need taller tires eventually! It's at the alignment shop now.

      dvck Question,
Couple days ago my fuel gauge started jumping around, ive changed the gauge and floater/sender but the gauge stays at 3/4 for the most part when its not jumping around.
I still get my reserve warning light, and i know where im at on gas, but ibwant to get it working again, insight?
Check you ground from the block to the frame on the drivers side. We had this problem with my younger son's E30. We also added a ground from the Alternator to that same ground and one of those fixed the problem. Bottom line is you might have a ground issue.

Thanks O. If the problem persists after fixing up what Jim suggested, check the sensor on the fuel pump or the screws on the cluster behind the fuel gauge.

Try what IronmanE30, and Zasz mentioned, if not try what i did a while back, just plain out switch ur current with another known working one... (test em at the junker, while out of the cluster push the needle across to F it should slowly rebound back to E) At least that is what I did when my gauge was showing full when full, and then when it would get to the half way mark my empty fuel warning light would come on.

Ugh getting peeved. Bought my car with the M50 swap, so I haven't of course done the wiring for it. It seems to have the oil level plug wired up on the c101 engine side, just need to trace the wires coming from the oil level sensor from the pan. Problem is, I can't follow the darned wires....

Time to remove the intake manifold this weekend I guess to gain a clear view to follow the wires. Any better ideas possibly?
