Lol I've never seen kitty litter on a street like that. Always thought people would leave whatever oily mess and get out of there.

It's the norm Ayman, they will let the kitty litter dry up as much as possible and, it'll get picked up by the tow truck guys. They're pretty strict with the clean ups nowadays.

Really Chris? It's been known for quite some time, that kitty litter or saw dust will help with those really oily messes.

Kitty litter is the shit! You have to do it right when you spill and step on the litter and grind it in to the oil. Sweep up an hour later, you're golden

Speaking of oil everywhere....changed the oil in the e30 today and got a defective fram filter. Put it on snug and started it up. No oil pressure. Looked outside OMG oil everywhere! Filter tightened up a half a finger width from the housing. Put on an extra fram and it snugged up tight. WTF.

I'm a serious believer that DIY oil changes end up causing problems, cost more, and waste more time.

lol, i think that might just be in your case. it may take a bit more time because we may not have the proper tools that make it nice and swift (ie. a lift), but i like the reassurance that i indeed did the work and it was all done properly.

hopefully putting stock tune and maf with a new o2 will help, but just don't think that my high flow cat is good anymore.

Speaking of oil change , I have yet to do that to the alpine. Needs a good coolant flush too was getting warm the other day in traffic...

If your car is heating up it's probably not because of old coolant. ;)

First, don't use fram filters. Second, make sure the gasket is mated to the housing. Third, at least you know you won't overtighten and strip your drain plug. Fourth, at least you can see what your old oil looks like in case there are metal shavings, coolant mixed in, etc. Fifth, at least you KNOW for sure what oil is going in the engine.
