An e34 530 is an m60...

I am pretty sure as the 530i is an m60, all of those trans should up to each other as they have the same bell housing. I recall Mike confirming this too.

It's cheaper and easier to buy a manual one. Guaranteed. The auto trans computer is hard wired into everything. I'm only trying to do it because there is no manual 540 touring.
