Interesting question for you guys. My dad's 04 exploder has a no start issue. Already checked battery, alternator and starter all are either new or tested good. It clicks but no start, has a 9/10 full tank of gas, couple months new spark plugs...Thoughts on what could be causing this no start issue? fuel pump/sender go poop? Other ideas?

No Edwina it's not CPS ;)

My e30 does this all the time. I pop the hood tap the starter close hood. Drive off in style.

I get some weird reactions when I open my door holding a long pipe in one hand.

"It clicks but no start" is this cranks but no start?

My wife has one and there are three fuel related Explorer quirks I have seen:

There is a roll over fuel cut switch up in the pass side footwell that you can check if tripped.

The fuel pump will stick like an E30 and if you bang on the tank you can sometimes get it to go. (made her carry a plastic mallet until replaced)

And this one is just a bad design, if the tank is lowish in fuel and the truck is on a hill nose down the fuel pickup is dry and she has to coast down to flat land to start it... 8^( (shouldn't be your issue with a full tank)

Doesn't make sense if my selector shaft is broken because it can still go into all the upper gears, R, 1, 3, 5. Honestly at a loss right now and am about to just drop the damn tranny and open everything up.
Did you accidentally spin the shift lever 180 degrees while installing? This can cause your problem

                    Stories?

I have to say that for the most part I am burned out on Vegas but last time I went the best night was when we spent it in old town. Everything is SOOOO much cheaper and laid back, including the ladies, hey ohhhh!

Lol, maybe the crank sensor tho. That shit has haunted me in the e30 and, the exploder. Also check with what "whodwhoo" was saying, I remember having to change out my fuel filter too, when I had this issue.

Back on topic, where would I pick up a clutch for a 320 (e21)?
