                    Anyone know if adding a check engine light to a early model hard?
                    I got a late model cluster with a 87 325is wire harness and 173dme. Been google'ing it and nothing

                                                        You need to run a wire from a light that pushes into the back of the cluster to a pin from the c101. Look up the pinouts. I can't remember off the top of my head.
