        That reminds me: did any e30 ever come with a tilting steering column? During winter break, I'm tempted to rip off the column and add spacers to lower the steering wheel.

                i dont think so, i saw someone using an E46 column? not sure thought. i just ripped off the steering column cover and added a 1" space to it to lower it. feels alot better.
