Hell yeah Abby..go for it. I think someone else came out with their own set as well but can't remeber where I saw them.

Haven't driven the car and can't for a while (playing with megasquirt), but it's nice to have an extra 1.5" give or take of rear travel (had to raise the car after install) and springs not pop off the trailing arms when jacking up the car.

I'm definitely going to! I think Castro or Nigel made a set for "Crunchy Bleach", Kyle's raw/hipsterish white turbo early model, but they had no plans to make them again.
They needed it for how low he was in the rear considering early model fenders.

To be honest with you, you're going to have to go to a fabrication shop to get something like this done because no exhaust shop is going to be as meticulous as that fellow was.
Every exhaust shop I've been to for minor fixes I had to be there and on their case not to half ass the work, cut corners, or weld it like cocks.
The only good thing about exhaust/muffler places is that you can almost 100% negotiate the price when work is completed. They take nearly everyone as a chump in my experience.

Well, I work at a muffler/fab shop, I did my exhaust there. You could give my boss a call. Are you providing the muffler, or would we purchase one? The pipes and bends aren't a problem, I know I can do the work but I'm unsure if he would take in the project, we're busy with a couple things. Give it a try! His name's Jim. The shop is located in Torrance, called Advance Automotive. 310 542 2977

Yes, considering the rear of your car sits as low as the spring pushing against it allows it to be, so with the top of the shock's stem mounted higher, you gain that much more travel assuming you don't change the spring's height lower.

These mounts also lessen suspension droop when both rear tires are in the air - so you're springs aren't dangling off their nipple mounts on the trailing arms.

Last thing (almost every upgraded RSM benefits you this way though), the design of the RSM prevents your shock's piston to pivot at the top mount, where the rubber is, under suspension load which is the cause of why OEM mounts go bad and potentially ruin your towers. BMW didn't change this crap design until after the E46 I think.
GC also gives you shock tower reinforcement plates which is dandy.

Christ, I sound like a salesman - wait till I make my own lol :p

a 135i barely pulled on me last night as I was topping out 5th gear. I lost, but I was still happy.

I'd be thrilled. What gearing do you have?

                            G260 + 3.73 LSD.

I just hammered it in 5th from about 75-80mph. Probably wouldve been better off downshifting to 4th, but I was trying to be lowkey about my intentions with the fiance in the car.

Happy to report, that I killed one of them 6 cylinder fagstans, early in the morning, yesterday. Shit got crazy scary, when I was hitting 115 - 130mph on the 710 south.

It was 4:30am, so we were good.

I was awake at 4:30am this morning. So while I was awake in my bed buying plane tickets, you, relatively a stranger to me, were out driving going 130mph.

What a cool concept...two people, different perceptions, in the same reality, yet one doesn't know much of the other except that they exist.
