    Star spec or rs3?
    Mostly spirited driving, no track.
How many miles are you all getting on those sets of tires?

My buddy dailies on a set of star specs. Haven't heard any bad reviews.
I think RS3 are a little more sportier, can't remember exactly and I was shopping for like 2 months for tires.

I was on Gforce rivals and I liked those but they did seem to wear quite fast. Didn't even count the mileage on them, what I did notice is that the area between the tread and sidewall seem to be cracking almost peeling, no bueno. Star specs are 22$+ than the RS3's.

Edit: star specs only come in 205/50r15. So no 225/45r15 in those.

Probably granny shifting when they should have been double clutching.

See if they have 225/50/15 in star specs, I think they do.

Ed, that car looks like it was going freeway speeds and whatever he/she hit wasn't moving at all

fwiw I just got a set of rs3 in that size and like them so far, just drove la-sf and back, mix of the 1, 101, and 5. Went down Latigo on my way out, felt great, nice and sticky. Road noise on the highway? I couldn't tell, on account of being deaf from keeping the windows down (a/c? who has that?).

I got the size mixed up. They offer a 205/55/15 for $82/each and thats a size thats almost an exact match for the OEM size. Any reason you want something wider? They are great tires that should be more than able to handle your spirited driving

I love it there. Riding is a fun experience, especially in the two big cities, driving is instant homocide.

I have 245/45 RS2s on my e30 and they are slick as hell when cold. I can slide the back end out easier than any other set I've had on 16s.
