Simon; get a paisa fix and patch the muffler. Should last you till next year for about 10-15 bucks.

Oh you fancy, huh. Looks nice though, I'm personally on a hunt for a Remus to go with my recent changes of the 3.46 LSD.

Here, buy it so I dont have to

I'm cheap tho so Im not buying that Supersprint either... I also dont want to patch a POS OEM muffler, so I dunno

It looks like if I want a "bolt-on" its going to cost $500+ or I can go to a muffler shop and pay a fraction of that, but roll the dice on quality of repair. Also, the closest dual in & out muffler Ive found is a flowmaster and it has 2.25" In&out which is half an inch bigger than the OEM pipes. Im going to go talk to a place Ive used before and see what it will be.

Nope, thats most likely the one Im going to go with. Err wait flowmaster. I did find a Borla that is also a dual in & out with 2.25" openings, but summit says it will ship on Nov 27!? Im going to call them tomorrow and see what the deal is. I think the Borla would sound better

The 2nd car is a convertible with no top and headlights that don't currently work. I have no time to work on it until after this weekend when I'm done with my current semester. Hence why I'll be driving the E30 ... until ( and after)the muffler falls off lol

                          1. I'm also 24v, so that little Remus won't work for me.
                          2. Let me suggest I.E. exhaust for abut $300+, maybe a little quiet, but nice bolt on and stainless.

You should get that super sprint then. Either way though, a 24v will need a custom setup of some sort. Are you still dual all the way back or did you conver to a single?

Its no secret that the IE setup is a chinese mass produced exhaust. There used to be an eBay seller that had one for cheaper than their $300 price, but my most recent search found that the same seller was now asking $1000 for the same exhaust

If I end up buying a bolt-on, semi quiet setup, I am actually leaning towards the Ansa that ECS is selling. Neither system is particularly "loud" which is both a good and bad thing...

                            https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ansa-par...stem/bw4827kt/

We'll see how it all shakes out though. If these people who are supposed to buy some of parts actually come through, then my budget will be a little higher. If not then I will likely go to a muffler shop and end up with a magnaflow or flowmaster welded up to the stock setup.

Depends if you have it "internet rebuilt" or actually replace parts. The parts for these transmissions get expensive. I just spent $800 on parts alone for mine and it didn't need any new synchros or gears. ;) If you need a guy to do a top notch trans rebuild feel free to PM me.

^ill take u up on that. my stuff just started to be ultra hard or impossible to get into gear.
all gears... so i'm going to bleed the clutch and see if it need oil first. 1000-1500 i have no problem with that. Can't even find m30 5spd at the junkyards anymore.
