      I think I've come full circle...back in an m20 car. I went to buy a set of wheels, then ended up buying the car. It will probably look familiar to some of the longtime members:

                    I'm in need of some sage advice. I found a S54 and 6 speed for a killer deal, can pick it up tomorrow morning if i decide too. I've been working on a M54 swap but I'm only a couple 100 dollars in so not a big deal.

                    Has anyone driven a S54 swap?

                      S54 is great but with the power comes a higher need for maintenance.

                      Before you install it you would want to do upgraded rod bearings and rod bolts. Also replace all of the cam bolts and check the condition of the other timing components and exhaust hub. Also, don't forget a valve adjustment!

                        Personally I would prefer the better weight & handling and mileage of the M54. It depends on what you want in a car. What did you decide?

                          I got ripped on the deal[emoji35]. Guy promised me the motor and trans for 2200$ picked up. The day before j go down he texts me someone bought it for 2600. I don't blame him. Really disappointed though.

                          Guess I'm back too making a custom M54 oil pan and a subframe. Oh well.
