this is nice

spence, it is indeed an m106. I'm super happy because the K27 is in good shape, no play at all. annoyingly, the turbo sits exactly where the E30-M30 motor mount I have goes.

I'm currently deciding if I want to MLS/ARP it, or run it stock. also not sure if I can make the pressure relief valve (not a wastegate) work again, or if there are wastegates that bolt up...

lots to learn. motor's still in the car, but fully disconnected, ready to take out tomorrow.

What car does this engine come out if exactly? It's a super sweet set up, ca legal turbo BMW engine almost sounds too good to be true haha

Interesting. Don't see many of those around.. not sure if much would transfer over to mine.

e28 euro bumpers are sweet, even less commonly seen here than e30s.

There use to be a euro diesel e28 around in napa, alpineweiss, super clean. Some old lady drove it around I always thought about asking her if she would ever consider selling.

i have one of those turbos in a box- small T3. they're sized about right for an M42 or an eta, but pretty tiny for a big-six unless he wants to find two of them.
