          what the hell Jason, you said you didn't want an FRS precisely because your girlfriend had one :p

          tough crowd in here... BRZ will walk all over an E30. They are nearly as fast as my cammed m50 car on track... in fact on paper they're basically a chipped m50 e30 with better balance, rigidity and suspension and can fit more tire. they DOMINATE STX class in autox which is open to e30 M3s as well. nobody touches the twins.

          the main problems with the BRZ are:
          1. midrange torque dip, solvable with exhaust
          2. stock exhaust note, solvable with exhaust
          3. 2016 miata

          seriously, the new Miata does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds... a Miata! BRZ isn't far behind at I think 6.0?

          anyway nice pickup dude, a nice change from the leggy :)

              Well she let me drive it enough times... and she leased hers so either it goes away in a year, or we pay 5 figures to keep it.

              We were at the dealership for several hours over the past two days and I think I've just about talked her into a WRX for her next car. :)

              If i had found an LGT with a manual, I would probably have kept it. It was a quick car... basically a detuned STi with leather.

              I thought I wanted an auto because my commute is 880-san mateo bridge-101... but I was wrong. Never again.

                  the FRS hype needs to die in a fire. i hated them from day one. they are like the m42, shit new, shit old, shit to drive. when for nearly the same money you can get an alfa i cant see why Americans love the FRS/BRZ so much. the WRX is so much better to drive and getting a used one is the same price as a BRZi dont get it.

                  but again, i sold my m3 bc i hated the engine.

                        I have no beef, just giving him shit because the two cars looked exactly the same. My parents seem to do that too, they both had silver cars then green cars and now my Dad has a black E9x Vert and Mom has a brown GLK350....

                        I personally like the FRS/BRZ cars, but I also like my E30. I cant blame him for getting what he wants. And its not like he sold his E30, just something you can jump in start up and kudos to not buying a POS Camry or something boring like that.

                        Me personally, new car wise, there isnt many cars I want that are newer than '95... and the only car I would happily sell my E30 for is a 911. I cant even convince myself that a Boxster or a Cayman would be good replacements.

                        Do you plan on modifying it at all, or just keeping it bone stock?
