Kind of dumb because I was going to make a trip and rent a boat to watch from the line up.

The last time I was there (three-ish weeks ago) it still had the 6spd in it.

the guy checked the stamped code on the side of the block, didn't care about the engine VIN sticker. it was actually the same guy as before even though I went to a different station.. turns out he's double timing in skyline college this month to get through their backlog. because it was the same guy, he didn't go through the whole checkup this time, just verified that the stuff that was not good before was good now.

What checkup? So I probably don't even need my bill of sale for the engine or smog paperwork right? Did you run the correct ecu or did you run a red label?

                            You don't need a red label ECU, e30 doesn't give a shit about EWS. I ran a silver label 413 because my motor is a '95 M50TU.

Whole checkup involves getting engine block number, cat numbers, looking to see if downpipes are modified at all, checking for stock manifolds, looking at the ECU # (must match motor) and verifying that all the intake hoses are OE and in good shape.

You also probably don't need paperwork since they pull everything up by block #.

dmitriy, the Z3's headlight on the impact side has two broken mount tabs :(

also it looks like the Z3's exhaust has a secondary cat in the rear section, after the flange? please tell me that's just a fucking resonator that looks like a cat...

                                it's a resonator

and do obd2. you have literally all the parts.
