Haha. I noticed that. Don't all tractors smoke from the exhaust anyways? You should be good.

I guess it comes down to comfort level. I have been in more than a few wrecks, and none of them was due to something like wheel adapters/spacers. So things like that aren't really of any concern to me...
BMWs are built like Legos. So much stuff interchanges between models, there is always a way to get the setup you want using OEM parts, rather than "good enough" solutions that introduce more potential points of failure.

The "it works on the track" argument doesn't hold an ounce of water with me, either. Ever noticed how tracks are smooth and meticulously maintained, and the roads we all drive on every day are not?

Call me paranoid if you want- I build for reliability; I beat the shit out of my car, my current suspension is 5 years old, and I haven't even needed an alignment since it went in, because I finally learned to build it right the first time.

If you want to repeat tasks over and over, spending money on shit you've already done before, feel free to continue half-assing :)

Where on the peninsula? There are weekly Friday meets in either tanforan or Milpitas, check the Friday night bay area meet thread. Every once in a while there's a drive, but usually AutoX at either marina or oakland.

Hmm, is the half-ass comment towards me? If so, do your homework before opening your mouth.
