Anyone have an intimate knowledge of brake boosters? I pulled the push rod out of mine with my old master cylinder today. I just fitted it back in when I installed the new MC, but I was super hurried as it was leaking fluid from my bench bleed. Real OEM doesn't show an internal diagram. The pedal feels normal for no vacuum, but I don't want to ruin my booster when I start the car after the first bleeding.JOY IS AN E30...

Hmmmm..... If I have to sell it, I'll put you on the list...
I got my MC installed with no problems with the push rod. It's still just slightly soft. Argh!! I did a manual bleed, pressure bleed, went out on a dirt road and got the ABS to cycle two dozen times. Going to let it sit and re-manual bleed tomorrow.JOY IS AN E30...

Also, remember to bleed in proper order, pass rear, driver rear, pass front, driver front...Comment

That parts car is tempting. Can't spend money, can't spend money...
I thought if the booster was bad it would be hard to press. I've got descent boot. Hmm, maybe I should just replace the booster too. I've heard they will suck fluid into the booster and that will ruin the diaphragm.
Yeah I bled it in the correct order.JOY IS AN E30...
