Who has H&R Race? Does it fix the reverse rake of H&R sports? I am starting to think GC is a waste of my time. If I can find cheap used springs by spring it might be worth it just to swap them.

        Sam does I think?

Sam does, and I think it fixes the rake. You lose almost all ground clearance and you don't have much wheel travel though.

My car has some pretty significant forward rake actually, I have been thinking of getting thinner rear spring pads to lower the rear a bit. But it is of worthy note that I have E90 drop hats in the front and no spring pads in the front either. Spring pads are for sissies.

actually I would rather have GC coilovers, these Races aren't low and stiff enough. I'd sell you mine if I could find a ridiculous deal on some GCs...

Have you ever bottomed out the fronts? The only thing that sucks is you do have a pretty short shock travel where if I went with GC someday you can shorten the tubes, etc.

I am okay with a little forward rake, it's the reverse rake on mine that looks stupid. I could take my spring pads out but that's a whopping 6mm or something.

I have never bottomed out my shocks and I have hit some pretty solid bumps. The H&R race springs are a good bit stiffer than the Sports, although I don't recall the actual spring rates. I would also suggest E90 drop hats, imho they are totally worth the $20 to lower the front of your car 1/2" or so, and you have the shocks apart anyway, may as well throw E90 hats on there...

(added bonus, they are aluminum, not steel, so you lose like 0.5 lb or so... woohoo!)

The rates are ~320/580 if i remember correctly. Progressive springs though, so I think that's the mean rate rather than a constant rate.

The Suede covered Vaders I had been eyeing in COS are finally gone. Anyone pic them up? I'll have to move my attention to the S52!

My step-brother just bought a 99 m3 with 80K, so I'll try and get him to come to some of the meets to pick your brains on the e36 chassis. And Clark that shit is old news, I had it for the first time in Chamonix like 4 years ago. Doesn't taste too bad either ;) The bartender (female) was pretty tired of my friends and I by the end of the night, our creativity began to diminish pretty quick.

                            specs?

And if he's not a DIY kind of guy, I do cheap work, and know the E36 inside and out.
