All you need is the signed title, you'll have to date it in the period when the cop walks up to your car though, as it has to be within a certain time frame.

Roland-- the new n+1 speed autos have been beating manuals in fuel econ for a while now. Durability I have no feel for tho.

I'm impressed, though I bet for the kind of hyper-miling I've been doing lately, I could beat out an auto trans easily with a manual.

My M5 is the ONLY car to have ever passed the via fast pass, and then it blew up a few months later.

no, that's the roadside stuff. you have to emit a certain amount of stuff for the roadside one to issue a waiver so you don't have to go in for testing.

for the fast pass, it's when your test simply stops instead of doing the full 50 minute dyno run and you pass.

FastPass is nice. My Integra was on the rollers for about 10 seconds before he pulled it off.. I thought something was wrong, then they handed me the paperwork and said, good to go.

My M3 passed via roadside 2 years ago. I'm hoping I can replicate that feat instead of having to buy cats.

Huh, I guess both of my E30's did the "fast pass" thing then. 'Cause I don't remember the emissions tests taking very long at all. And no, they didn't check my paper work if I remember correctly.

In other news, saw Sam's E28 on I-25 today. Strangely enough, I also saw Sam sitting inside it too!

The roadster fast passed too. I thought for sure it had failed because the test was so short. It was ridiculously loud too, which was a shame it had to end!

So, about this karting thing....

My dad is visiting December 22 to 28ish and we want to go karting again. It would be more fun to race with a group of people I know instead of the random kids that show up that day.

I am thinking 23, 26, or 27. HPR free lapping day could be tied up somewhere in there too so we should work around that if possible.
