I really really hope they'll bring the wagon with a diesel engine and manual. Hopefully a fast diesel, but a slow diesel would be cool too.

That's all I ask, BMW, just that one thing, a manual diesel wagon. Otherwise Mazda will get my money.

Automobile also reports that there will be a 328d xi version, although I am still hoping they give us the 335i wagon, or at least a 6-speed. We all know that isn't happening though.

It won't still be running in 15 years. New cars aren't designed to last much longer than their warranty period before they encounter severe maintenance and reliability issues, i.e. electronic failure on par with the holocaust among other problems.


Also I hate modern BMW. All their cars now have an "M" option and have lost their heritage where M and or Motorsport actually stood for something instead of Marketing.

Anyone know a source for R12? Much to my surprise, my AC actually somewhat works but only blows mildly cold. I'd rather just stick a few ounces in rather than convert to R134a.

Great, it'd probably be cheaper just to convert than bother with the dealer. There's no way they'd just top off my system, they'd want to suck it all down, hold under vacuum, do it the right way, blah blah $500.

The answer to this question will change my thoughts on the GT.

My bad....I mistook the ugly 3series gt for the 5 series gt. I'm sure you understand my refusal to look at it in detail long enough to distinguish the two. ugly is ugly, regardless of size. The 5 series gt killed the the 5 wagon, not the f31. I called BMW yesterday....f31 328xi auto only. 2 pedals only, so might as well be a Kia.

That leaves me with two options: 2011 e90 m3 or 2013 Tacoma + e46 m3 or s54 roadie.....

best option because after your e46 M3 becomes completely track prepped and terrible to drive on the street, you already have a tow vehicle!


Speaking of tow vehicles, I <3 my 4runner! It has way more room than my old XJ and was used for other than commuting for the first time today... I'm impressed so far.
