There is no such thing as "real" depos. They are a non OE, aftermarket light manufacturer. I think they are $188 new.

I'm happy. Pulled the engine out of the red ix parts car (About time) and also pulled out Greta's engine in favor of the 2.7i. Hoping to have it in by this weekend and maybe running!

We have two complete iX engines, one 2.7i, one complete Eta engine, and an Eta Block. This is getting out of control.

That pic is of the one out of the red iX and Greta's 2.7i.

I'm trying to button up the last of the wiring on my m50nv swap and I've got some confusing wiring diagram issues. The ETM for my harness shows CTS on pin 12 of the x20 (in Brown/Violet) while just a few pages earlier it shows the CEL light going to pin 12 on the x20 in Gray on one side and Brown/Violet on the other. My harness has Brown/violet on both sides. Where does the CEL go?

You have an early car, so you will have to hardwire it to a light and run it into your dashboard.

Here is how you wire your early C101: http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/C101

That's incredibly helpful and will quicken the rest of my wiring; but I'm more concerned with the engine side harness (an e34 version) as the ETM shows two wires of completely different functions on the same pin?

By your response I'm going to presume that I can't run my CEL to the factory Service Light?

Interesting. And they're the same color?

Furthermore, I can't find more than one or two wire colors that ANY ETM list as being correct.

That says the CEL goes through pin12

Those come from the same ETM, just a few pages away. Perplexing.

What does your diagram list for pin 8? Mine says pin 8 is a gray wire used for CEL, and pin 12 is a brown/violet for CTS.

I don't know how to find a pins usage in the ETM without searching a component specifically.

                              For Check Engine;
                              '91 says pin 12 gray
                              '92 says pin 6 gray
                              '93 says pin 8 gray

I would just chock this up as the guy I bought the engine/harness from not actually knowing what year it was but since the '91 ETM assigns two functions to pin 12 I'm confused. I mean it seems obvious that it's the CTS.

Is there a vin to look up on the head to verify production date? I would just connect whatever solid gray wire you have left over to your check engine light.
