Not digging my job at OHSU. I turned down a position at the ER to take this one and I think I made a mistake.

Have they hired someone else in the ER spot? Too late to go back and beg forgiveness?

When I accepted my job I verbally committed to a year. I'm a man of my word so I'm going to stick it out. If I come to a point where I can make a clean break I will - but I don't want to leave anyone hanging.

Ehh, I think you've got good intentions but honestly you can't necessarily count on them investing a year minimum on you either. However, burning bridges is never the best plan...good luck figuring out what will work best for you

its verbal, not written. they shouldnt take it the wrong way, just say its not what you thought it would be...

I've still got side work I'm doing, but my car has needed a heart transplant for a while and the deal is just too good to pass up.
