So does anyone know how illegal it is in Oregon to not have your front plate on the bumper? I put my old euro plate on, looks so much better. Can I get away with putting the oregon one on the dash/what's the fine? I know I know, I should just leave the oregon one on the bumper. But I'm young and stupid.

When I got one it was a $97 "fix it" ticket. I showed up for court with it zip tied to front grill and the ticket was dropped.

It's as serious of an infraction as having too dark of window tint or being too low. 99% of cops aren't going to pull you over for it. And most will only site you for it if you're an asshat when you've already been pulled over.

I never run a front plate. I hate the way it looks, and to me it's worth the risk of getting a ticket.

In ~7 years and multiple cars, I've received one "fix-it ticket", which costs nothing as long as you get it signed off that you put your plate back on. Didn't even need to go to court, just got it signed off by an officer and mailed in. Next day, off again.
