What oil do you guys use in your e30s? I tried to find the thread where everyone posted what they used but no luck.

M20's use thick oil. 20W50. I say go with Kendall Synthetic Blend. $5 p/ quart at Baxter's. That's what I use in the M50.

Unless every seal has been recently been replaced, I wouldn't put synthetic on an old M20. Hello new leaks.

Ran synthetic on my M30 E28 and assorted M20 powered E30's. Never had an issue. It's what O'Hara recommends and he's been working on these cars for 30+ years...

It really is. The stock brakes are ridiculous. It has a 6spd manual transmission. an N62 BMW V8 (E65/E66), side exhaust, and other fun stuff. It sounds fantastic.

sale at napa on napa synthetic, which is valvoline synthetic, at 3 49 a quart

it comes in 15 50 not 20 50, which sounds perfect.

thats what I used although it does not need synthetic, it lasts longer.

Ive only changed the oil twice, and when I did there was a really good sale on store brand synthetic so I went for it.

but I would change it with dino oil.

I think its made it about 8k on oreilly synthetic and still looks good.

                  It's a shame that they're:

                  1) are english.
                  2) have wooden frames.

This is true, but I could care less :)

It was very nice to see something other than an E46, an E60, E70, E65/6, ect. Haha.

They are unibodies and do not have wooden frames. There is wood in the door frames and roof in cars into the 60's but I don't believe it was used past that. Do you really think a car would pass US crash testing with a wooden frame? I thought this myth was busted years ago.

I watched a video tour of the factory like a week ago, they showed the wooden frames and said that they'd been in use for 50years. Maybe a diff model? I don't know.

I didnt think they sold them in the US for crash reasons. As far as I know the only one you can get is the Three since its considered a motorcycle.

I believe that is an Aero 8 pictured which you can buy here. I've completley disassembled four Plus 4's and the only wood I've seen is on the floorboards and in the body framing but not the frame itself. I'm no expert on Morgans though so maybe on other models.

                                From El Wiki:
The Aero 8 is notable for several reasons, primarily because it is the first new Morgan design since 1948. It does not use anti-roll bars, an oddity in a modern sporting car. It is also the first Morgan vehicle with an alloy chassis and frame as opposed to traditional Morgan vehicles ("trads") that have an aluminium skinned wooden body tub on a steel chassis
