24v guys, how much clearance do you have between the head and firewall? I feel like the motor is cockeyed in the chassis.

So look likes I have to put a band aid on the e30 and drive it for a few weeks until I finish collecting the parts for the 2.7i swap. I parked it because the hose that comes off the expansion tank blew and the car was having overheating problems prior to that.

If I replace the radiator and that hose do you guys think that will hold me over for a few weeks? I also don't have a cluster is it hard to wire in a cheep little temp guage for the time being?

I think I could also pull the t stat to conpensate for a possibly bad clutch fan. I know this may not be the correct way to do things but in a few weeks the whole top end will be overhauled anyway.

Believe I can stuff my fingers behind the head, What motor mounts are you using? E28 mounts have to be placed in the "alignment" holes.
