I recently this week finished swapping my oil pan also.. It really wasn't that difficult.. I jacked the engine up from the ac pump after loosening the motor mounts (careful this way I tore a mount in half! >.<).

I took off the oil pickup also, 3 bolts, easy. Just let it drop into the pan, makes removing the pan super easy.

Essentially the reverse to install, left the oil pickup in the pan, got the pan 'into place' but left chillin' on the subframe and wiggled it around enough to reinstall the oil pickup. Also don't forget to take out the dipstick, and be careful with another piece in there (reminded me of a gerbal water container) it gets in the way but you can push in the bottom and wiggle the pan in/out.

For the gasket, I applied sealent around the pan and gasket then let it sit upside down (on the gasket) for about 20mins, then applied more sealent and installed, worked pretty well. <- was told by a mechanic that this is a simple way to get it to stay.

    Good Luck!

I only broke one, I have a feeling it was already going bad... Just raised the engine from the ac bracket, as it went up the pass side one just split in half, no noise no resistance, just snapped.. Easy fix, but annoying. Didn't even realize it broke at first.. haha, just a little fyi :D

For the motor mount or the pickup?

Motor mount has one on top to engine arm and one on the lower portion to the front subframe

The point was if you need a larger jacking surface you can put a 2x4 or 4x4 between the jack and the trans
