Scored a complete E46 Center Console/Arm Rest in really nice black leather.

Part of me wants to make it fit in my iX.. The other half of me says it's sacrilidge. Googled some photos and i'm still not sure if I like it. May try it just for shits and giggles.

Should I just keep looking for a Husco? I mean I got this E46 setup for free...

How did you brace it so you can actually put your arm weight on it?

That's not in my car, but i've seen some good solutions for bracing.

Pretty simple bracket using square stock.

Was trying to post a picture but this guy's PB account is over bandwith. Click the link below to see what he did to get his in.

If you go here, you can see what he had to do to get his in. Seems like a lot of work but I love the look and finish! Definitely a lot to think about. I don't have any experience with fiberglass. http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...ansbimmer/E30/

Oh, I know about that guy, talked to him a while ago. Plastidip didn't work out so well for him.

Yep yep, have a google doc from like two years ago when I started looking into doing it with all that stuff. His is a bad example because he has a padded bit around his gear shifter.

Infinitely better than anything actually designed for an e30, just takes a bit of fab.

Best way would be to weld a bracket that works with the mounting points on the armrest onto the trans tunnel. That way there is no way it would move.

749 pages* ;) If you just want a meet go to RDM, usually pretty big, often lots of untasteful cars but still fun.

True but its nice if you want to look at lots of cars. Seth you should leave the body panels un primered. Go all mis match look.
