Cleaned up and tidy wiring looks so good - in any situation. It'll feel so nice to get that done and sorted out!

      Thats a tough one, Paolo.

Either way, youre gonna have to spend time and money to get the E46 in somewhat sellable shape. You can sell it as is, but i dont think you want to take that big of a loss on it.

Personally, i'd find a verified working auto trans and try your luck with that. Manual swap will yield a bigger market, but I dont think it's worth your time or money.

That was my thought. - The search continues, these specific ZF transmissions are proving hard to find and the ones i've found at spendy with high mileage!

Someone here needs this. If i had 10K laying around i would definitely make the trip up north to grab it.
Perfect daily if you ask me.

Then don't buy at auction.. sometimes all you get is a bill of sale in Washington. Though, it's legal for use to transfer ownership. Using one right now for the X3 I picked up at auction. It didn't come with a title either, just a Washington Bill of Sale.

My friend bought an s10 truck during highschool, used bill of sale, got a title months later, 2 years later, truck was reported stolen, had it taken away. Id never buy a car without a title. State patrol in Washingtons runs daily checks electronically on your car for 3 years after you get a title.

I believe when you buy through anything other then a private party, you have to pay tax, licenses and registration on the spot - in WA state.

Yea dealers you do, so people dont leave with un registered cars, and run people over.

I heard this is a big problem at Ford dealers

Not to mention license plate scanners are becoming more and more popular. A camera inside the cop car, looks at your plate, checks for registration (insurance?) and if it's stolen.
