You'd probably be better/easier off if you just grab the harness from an M20B25 and matching ECU/AFM..etc. You could probably get the M30 one to work, eventually, but it would be far easier to go the stock route.
The only hinderance is possibly the timing, I am not familar enough with the old L-Jet equipted motors to know if they have provisions for the CPS that Motronic needs.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)

1craze30/John, I have a harness, ecu, and potentially everything you need for M1.3 swap. PM me.
So my blower motor has intermittently been working since December 2014. I've been convincing myself the heated seats were enough to keep my warm (I knew this shit wasn't true) - I finally replaced the blower motor on Saturday. It's the little things that make you smile. I hope you all have a great week, and take some time to enjoy the little things.
I need your guy's opinion. I need to do something with the E46 323iA - Cliffs notes: Vehicle lost reverse gear (reverse drum came apart, common issue, whatever) - Got the drum replaced, reverse is back but now when you drive and the car goes to shift into 4th gear it slips and goes into transmission fail safe mode (keeps the transmission in 4th gear) until you restart the car. I have these options i'm looking at. Transmission got an overhaul/rebuild kit (gaskets, seals, etc.) during the reverse drum replacement. Although we did not replace the torque convertor, or valve body - although the valve body did get thouroughly checked over to make sure everything was in spec and all seals, etc. replaced.
1. Sell the car as is, and take a substantial loss.
2. Buy a valve body - new, or good used - see if that fixes anything.
3. Buy a good used transmission, swap it in, sell the car - hope to at least break even or come close.
4. Do research on Manual swap, weigh out if its' worth the time/money (I don't think it is, but who knows..) and sell the car (I really don't need another project car, and if I ever did, it'd be something else..lol).
5. Keep it in the driveway as a tribute...lolLast edited by kid325e; 11-21-2016, 11:26 AM.clutchCTRL!Move with a purpose.- 1991 325iX 4dr/5spd- 1976 2002 SlickTop/2.7i M20/G260- 2000 323i AT2016 Mazda CX3 Sport AWDComment

I have been piecing together stuff for years to repin a rectangular c101 to the 24v motor and put this random early model c101 cover on it. I finally got the cover from Jeremy (djjerme) and Ive had the pins, but the early model is still a little different. I cant wait to get this fixed and cleaned up. From there its about cleaning up the rest of the wiring under the hood and mounting the m42 ecu mount I got from Austin in '14. I have given up on M3/M42 firewall wiring cover that Adam was supposed to give me years ago though... Someday the engine bay will look totally proper OEM.Simon
