Throttle cable snapped on the way home from work tonight.

Hand throttle with an elastic shoe lace is fun

The console is peeling by the window switch anyway. It's not like they are rare. I'd never cut the buttonless console in my coupe.

The shoe lace mod looks better than the spider monkey juice holder

That might be the best cup holder solution I've seen so far. I bought a nice HUSCO off eBay but the frigging arm rest feels like it's two feet high!! Was going to see if I could cut down the pad but I'm not sure that would help all that much.

Getting a new set of Firestone Firehawk INDY 500 tires mounted on my Koseis this weekend. I want to go back to silver and apply the stock decals for these wheels I got from TR.

Any protips on scuffing/sanding/prepping the wheels prior to mounting new tires? Don't want to spend all day repainting them but also don't want them to turn out shitty. Thoughts?

                          **NOT A PRO**

just scuff up the wheels good with a lower # grit sandpaper, not too coarse though. clean the crap off, some good primer and you should be good to go for paint

I really look forward to this, I think the car will look totally different, even with the same wheels on it.

btw hows the 2002 coming along?

No progress on the 02 really. I ended up sourcing a CSB mounting plate/bracket from 2002 underground to fit the E30 driveline in with a much stouter bracket then the lame shit I put together.

I need to reweld the factory 02 CSB mounting tabs back into the tunnel which means cleaning up undercoating and my damn air compressor isn't working so it's been on the back burner. :/

This happened today and the wiper system is one thing I've luckily never had to deal with on these cars, so I'm not sure exactly how this is pieced together.

Is the rubber boot the only thing holding these two pieces of the linkage together and I can just replace that one piece?

that bottom metal "dog bone" has like urethane sockets, i replaced that bar a while ago.

It just snaps onto a ball type deal on each end

part is like 20-30$ dont get used
