What is the year and model of your car? Which headunit are you using?...

Almost all E30's, except the 325i use a barometric sensor mounted next to the airbox to account for altitude. Why the 325i M1.1/1.3 doesn't have it is a good question. It's supposed to be more advanced...

I've seen a set of these on a local car and thought they looked great. Reps have a bad rap but they are not all the same. They have come a long way and there are some quality wheels out there not made...

It's repairable but I'd look into getting another head. Looks like quite a bit of damage. Pull and inspect everything including the pistons and rods. You may need more than a head....

Admittedly, It's been almost 20 years since I did this but I'm pretty sure I removed that airbag spacer. Either way, you can try it out and see what works for you. I installed a 370mm M tech 2 wheel....

Read #3, #4 and #7.
If you install the spacer first before the hub, you'll have a gap between the hub and column and the turn signal cancelation won't work, neither will the horn. You use...Last edited by reelizmpro; 06-01-2024, 09:14 PM.

Yep. Pull the right front bulb, clean the base and the contacts in the housing. Obviously, make sure the bulb is good and looks good first. Most of the time it's just a bad connection though....

You have two fuel level senders, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side. The gauge sees the resistance of both of them in series.
Here's a good thread with some numbers....

The horn is straightforward as long as you install the hub correctly....

Here's my list:
1) with the steering wheel locked, remove the 4 torx screws that secure the airbag, then remove the nut that secures the wheel.
2) unlock the column with the...

This may or may not be your problem but I would not trust the original transfer pump. A new one would support S52 HP but they are expensive nowadays and aftermarket transfer pumps are hit and miss. ...

What year and model is your car? Seems strange that it fixed the problem initially and then started reading 3/4. That sounds like a resistance issue in the wiring between the level sender and the gauge...

On 325's you shouldn't have to rev the engine to excite the alternator. It should start charging right after startup....

Glad you got it sorted quickly Bob. We can't assume anything when diagnosing electrical problems on 30+ year cars. I went through it all on my E30's. No visible corrosion but it was enough to not make...

Did you install the old resistor into the circuit correctly? Check to see if the resistor itself is still good, then check the wiring, etc....

That's an E36 part and won't work. There isn't anything like that for the M tech 2, so if you want to cover the holes you will have to get creative. Perhaps use plugs or body colored stickers.

If you want to freshen them up without tossing them, you could polish the glass OR the easy way out...spray clear gloss. The clear will fill the pits and make it look new. I've done this before on a...

Thanks. I think I will try a finer polish. I have Meguiar's Swirl remover 2.0 #9 on the shelf that I haven't tried yet. It's supposed to be a light cut cleaner/polish, so I'll give it a try. Did you...
