        Wow I didn't even know this was a thing for E30. Phantom Grip and knockoffs were really popular in the Dodge Neon world 15 years ago, but now even those cheapskates won't touch 'em.

          we used to call it a Lincoln Locker (as in Lincoln WELDER, take the back cover off the diff and WELD the spider gears together) It is NOT a limited slip replacement it is a mechanical LOCKING device that stops ALL differential action completely.

                LOL! I remember people back in the day doing this with the 8.5 GM 10bolt rearends, because they couldn't find or were too cheap to buy a posi unit.

                I'm sure it's still done in some dirt track series.
