Good luck man. I really hope you find a way to do it. Whatever magic ingredient you find will mean there is hope for us all.

I'll find it and I'll let you all know.

If there is one thing I know, it's how to get hidden hp out of cars.

The only way this is happening is at high rpm, 8000 or more I'd wager.

Probably, but 350 is 350, no matter where in the revs.

                  Nope. S50B30 out of a 95 M3, with 204,000mi no less.

So you're going for a dyno queen, not a usable powerband?

Better yet, I will give you a reach around. Although you and/or I can wear a medal while this is performed, if you'd like.

Given your rear bumper is/was a pressure treated 2x6 (which btw, I love), I am going to assume your budget for engine development will be a little on the austere side.

To temper your expectations, take a look at racing engines. A race S54 can actually achieve 350 whp, but then again, it also costs $20k, and the head is actually designed to support that airflow.

I will have plenty of usable power.

I would prefer if only I wear the medal. I feel more special that way.

Pretty much everything you can think of, and probably a few things you can't. Think outside the box guys. I don't build cookie-cutter bmws here.

Poke fun if you want. The cars I have under my belt will show that I am no amateur. I am mechanical engineer, and I have been around cars since before I could walk. My latest pink fendered E30 is the platform and though there is still a ton of work to be done, even in it's current stage is no slouch.
