I believe UUC normally specify the late model knuckle. My dssr from uuc needed the late model one. My own BSSR also needs the late model or "m3" knuckle

Gotcha. Just ordered the correct one.

BTW, just out of sheer morbid curiosity, you don't by chance still have any of the spare ones you made for sale, do you? :D They have the 10 degree twist in them for the 24V/G260 combo, right?

Yessir, I have sold a couple and have two left. They are specifically designed for my RHD s50/g260 / AKG DTM shifter setup but a rod is a rod. Yes 10 degree and not 12 degree

And that will work with the E30 shift selector joint, right? Looks like you have the E36 one in your pics. Curious what you'd want for one. PM sent.

It works with the selector joint I received from UUC when I purchased a DSSR "back in the day" when I had an M20. I believe UUC referred to it as an M3 knuckle but TBH it looked like the same one I had already on my 89 325is. I changed it out because it was new.

As I say to others who ask me about the BSSR, it has been specifically made to suit my RHD 89 325is which has an G260 box, a euro S50 and the AKG DTM shifter. The rod is rotated around 10 degrees and the length of it is tuned so the AKG shifter sticks straight up in the middle of the trans tunnel cutout, just like other shifters but I haven't personally tested it on other shifters. I can't imagine its too off, because like I say, the rod lines up in the middle of the trans tunnel whole.
The simple solution for 100% fitment, as designed, is to also purchase the AKG shifter :)

I wanted a shift rod specific to my needs and luckily we run a high end engineering shop. We figured to make 5 because well for the time it took to pull down a production 5 axis mill to setup this little job... I might as well make a few more than I need given setup and pull down time was about 4 hours and the time to make them was only about 15min each. Based upon std hours these BSSR's should cost about $400 each!

Such is the pain of low volume parts! Anyway off topic...

P.S. They're made from EN36 which is a case hardened tool steel. Pretty burly little units.

            I see your PM

Rob, I accidentally ordered the with the "UUC EVO 3 after 4/04" setting instead of the OEM shifter setting... Will it still work, or should I cancel my order / order another one?

No, that's totally fine - those are the same.

But what you should do is order the Evo3!

So it makes the original e30 shift linkage bolton with the m50 twisted getrag 260 ?

Mines been back ordered since memorial day. I don't need it yet so I haven't bothered to call for an update.
Maybe they are waiting for more orders before they make a batch.
