i recently made my own set using new salmon lense covers bought off ebay (surprisingly the lense was stamped with the BMW logo)

Total cost on my end for new lenses, replacement taillamps(bought off ebay with damaged red lenses), paint and glue was around $300

I did the same, ran a smoked set until I got rear ended and one was destroyed. They were imperfect as are all replicas.
I have the materials to make another set, just need time.
