Curved trumpets. Easy to do with 3D printing.

Unfortunately There isn't enough space to add even curved trumpets. I connected with Lee in Quebec about his really nice manual setup. This is always a proven and available option. My ideal is to run power brakes if possible though. I just want everything to feel correct. I drove a friends E90 powered booster recently and the touchy nature made it difficult to heal toe naturally, like it does so well OEM. I am looking for progressive pedal feel.

i would investigate whether if you use a smaller booster from E90, 10 degree DCOE curved spacer (max recommended) to kick tthe carb up whether you can sneak in a curved smaller OD trumpet

Thank you for the info Digger. I feel like today I made the decision to run Lee's setup. I really like Lee, he is also a fellow Canadian. I would be running 2 x tilton cylinders. How do you feel about this setup for street driving Digger? Do you miss boosted brakes? I drove my friends exact setup 5 years ago or so, but I cant really remember the details. My touring is a street car through and through. I just cant get a booster to fit well unless its the iBooster. Thank you in advance for your input!

look into early m10/m20 manifold intake runners. have seen them used for curved runners ending in trumpets above the valve cover on e21 323i 6cyl builds with webers. not sure which ones worked best, they angled forward away from the booster toward the front of the car.

i have the Lee system ready to go but opted to try the e90 booster first to see if that was enough space improvement for my needs so i haven't actually ran the non vacuum brakes.

Hello Guys! Making quite a bit of progress. Mocked everything up, engine is out and I am in the process of refreshing a lot of the cosmetics on the motor.

I am challenged a bit with spending money on a 3D ignition system when I have a brand new MS2 ECU and wasted spark setup currently. I like the idea of simplicity so I have a quote for an entire NoDiz setup available. Would I be stupid to not just reuse my MS2 for ignition only?

My big value is simplifying everything electronic in the engine bay.

Let me know your thoughts and if you would suggest another option other than what I have listed above. Thanks guys!

if you are doing carbs, might as well go this route for the ignition.

Thank you for the share! I have been looking into these setups. Any advantages that you can mention towards this vs a coil system?

not advantage. Actually kind of a backwards move like going to carbs from FI. But if you are doing it to be old school/electronic free setup, dizzy is a must.

I appreciate the input. It was neat to do a deeper dive on 123Ignitions products.

My other situation is deciding on a fuel pressure regulator that has a bypass. My fuel pump and sending unit etc is all new (including the tank) and I really don't want to have to modify in a low pressure fuel pump if I can avoid it. Stock units 3-bar (40ish PSI) and DCOE's like it around 2.5-3.5 PSI. I have heard a FPR with bypass can work well with a high pressure pump, but I am all ears if that seems unfit for the job or that I will continually be chasing my tail.

Any advise or experience here would be welcomed and appreciated!
