Bumping this thread again because it's the perfect example of why I love this forum and why the FB group can never replace it. The plug on my oil level sender disintegrated earlier this year and I found this thread through a Google search. Many thanks to fitswell and shawshankNG for posting the critical info that enabled me to buy and wire the new plug. I plan to by another plug EFI Express "just in case." THANK YOU!

Sometimes the internet really is amazing. Thanks for your help, everyone!

EFI Motorsport (as they're known, now) call it "Bosch Style (Amp Junior Power Timer) 3 pin male connector kit", and moments after ordering 2 of them I found some alternative sources.

I believe the male part of the housing is TE/AMP part number 1-962581-1. The closest I can find on te.com is 1-962581-2 (https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-1-962581-2.html), but Mouser still has the -1 version right now. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...o%252BPQ%3D%3D

Corsa Technic has the housing for < $4: https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.p...ategory_id=146

A thread on bf.com https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...6#post30322546 suggests there's a BMW part number 12521732564 which looks right on Turner: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4...uine-bmw-part/

Hopefully that helps some folks in the future.

This is where i got mine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Trying to sort out the wiring now.

Got it installed, but the area the wires go in is a little to long, getting the boot back over was a little difficult.

nine years later the EFI link still works, same price. who knew this and the costco corndog would be the only things immune to inflation. thanks everyone for helping another car get back on the road!

I'm glad i bought the whole new sensor when I did (3 years ago). Looks like its NLA. Time to rebuilt my old sensor (thanks all for the connector course) and keep it as a spare.

If you are careful, you won't need to use the crimps. Carefully break the old plug apart with a pair of pliers or something and reuse the crimps after you bend the lock tabs up a bit.

Thank you for all the valuable info. I bought the plug from efi and fixed my sensor over the weekend. The light finally went away!
