Possible to convert M20 to rear sump oil pan

Possible to convert M20 oil pan to rear sump for engine swap into Triumph TR6?

I know M50, M52 and M54 were this way. What do you guys think?

Not without a lot of time and expense.

looks like I will have to do like the guy from the Roadspeed garage and remove the battery tray and sides of the transmission tunel opening then box back in and set the engine tranny back further behind the frame crossmember.

The Jaguar AJ6 is rear sump and has an aluminum block.

I dropped an S52 into my TR6. It fits great but you will need to cut the oil pan a bit as well as a small part of the firewall. And the battery needs to move--the trunk has lots of room for it. The BMW parts also end up being lighter with the weight slightly more centered. Wonderful car mostly but the engine is acting up right now so...standard restomod car.

Check out the M20 TR6 on the Road Speed Garage site. Engine sits just behind the first frame cross member kind of mid engine like. They had to modify the fire wall and inner edges of the floor pan. Engine rear wheel hp just about doubles with this swap,

Not familiar with the M20 ix, is the oil pan sump in a different location than the regular M20?

Considering the original oilpump setup, I think only option is to go for dry sump oiling.

Thats an option, I also thought about relocating the cross member on the frame.
