Do you need to run the ecu in the engine bay with the b35 harness?

No. Ecu will mount in the stock location, but only using 2 out of 4 bolts, with the harness plug facing the firewall.

I was advised that for clearance purposes, it's better to use the b35 exhaust manifold and downpipes. That's what I bought and will be installing in the next couple of weeks.

B35 stuff fits, not much needed in terms of modifications. Tight, but fits.

Jean, it seems like i've been asking you questions and reading your comments for a year and I still haven't gotten my car running. This whole project waiting stuff is very challenging to patience. Now when freinds ask how the project is coming I just respond with "I never know". Although, I've made more progress in the past month than I've made through the whole process. Getting all these parts together has proven to be a major challenge!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I'm trying to fit the wiring harness in the engine bay.

Here's a picture. Not the best but hopefully it gives you an idea. There is a gap about 1/2"-3/4".

M30 swap lower radiator hose too short?

My lower radiator hose was too short so here's what I did. I used two M30 lower radiator hoses, a 38 mm OD fitting purchased from Pegasus Racing, and two clamps. I tried it with one hose cutting it in half with the fitting in the middle and it was still too short. So installed the first half, then the fitting, took some measurements with the second hose, a cut and finally got it right.

^that looks great. I had the same problem with my lower rad hose but my solution isn't nearly as elegant.

did the block touch the firewall where the trans mounts on it? mine touches on the pass/ and drivers side.

Why did you not just use a e28 m30 rad hose ??? It fit's perfect. You now have another join and possible weak point the water system.

Yeah it touches on the passenger side right below the brake line.

Is there a way to find which of the 3 prong connectors go where. There are four of those connectors.

Did you cut the e30 oil level connector and splice in the M30 connector. From the C101 I was able to find oil level static and oil level dynamic.
The single wire with a connector at the end is for the coolant level sender in the coolant tank? If so what did you do? The sender has two prongs.
