DIY has those? Damn, if I only had a harness for it. I made mine from scratch for the MS...So, I don't have the harness for the motor. Anyone know where I can get one cheap?

Well, those wouldn't work anyway. I don't think. I'm running wasted spark.

            the forums?

stock harness works fine for wasted spark; you just need two more wires for the other two coils, the original coil wires to drive one of the coils and power all 3. But I did mine with my own adapter so it's a little easier to modify.

of course if your harness is good there's no real reason to go back. except the VR sensor wires can be tricky if they aren't done right.

The PnP MS wouldn't be setup for the wasted spark though would it? I also did not see it on their site for a 50 pin motronic. I'm pretty sure my VR wires are good. I ran them separate away from all the other wires, and I've got them shielded all the way up to where they into the MS. I have spark now, but it just seems a little weak. I can get the car to fire, but when I think I'm getting close it just floods out the plugs every time.

Went to PIR Late Night drags on friday.

350mi off tune up and oil change.
                1/2 tank of gas
                Took out spare tire
                287lb driver
Really slick 0-60', lots of oil.

14.537 @ 95.35 was my best didn't differ too much, ran pretty consistently 14.5-14.59.

7 races, beating a Modified 350z(crap driver), 2 Stang 5.0's, a Talon TSI AWD, and some modified scion, and an A1 GTI with a 16v swap. Only lost to an SS Trailblazer that was supercharged. He was 14.1 @ 97.1 with a better RT. But he broke after 3 runs and went home.

Felt like I was hitting a wall at 85 mph, was up to 77mph at 1/8th mi considering changing 3rd gear shift time to around 6k RPM next time. Car will hit 60 in about 6 seconds flat every time, mild launch.

Wondering if it would be much faster with someone who weighed less.

I've always heard .1sec for every hundred pounds, but that's obviously a very loose estimate.

Over M50NV yes (was not impressed with one), M50Vanos depends if it's all stock or if you upgrade it with better cams. If I was going to do a 24v it would have to be at least an m52 imho.

Do whatever you like or available to you :)

24v is nice, if my car was a daily, I would want a vanos m52 for it. M30 is raw and loud and fun. Depends on what you want. City gas mileage im getting like 12 or less. I'm sure an m50 would do ALOT better.

Is this with a stock m30? 12 seems kind of low unless it balls to the wall all the time. I thought I had read some people were seeing low 20's in stock form in an E30.

For what it's worth my e28 with a 3.25 diff got between 28-30 mpg. The e30 is even lighter so if the setup is the same you should be able to get at least that level of economy. I'm guessing the low numbers are either a modified car (shorter diff perhaps?) and / or a heavy foot.

this thread makes me want to get my car done so much sooner, i will be running a 265 tranny and wouldnt mind some aggressive gearing, more so then I have seen on here. Eventually I will up grade mine to a big valve head with a cam, then drop in my m90 rotating assembly.

My e30 will not be for top end speed so i dont mind losing that, my e46 m3 satisfy s those cravings, 155 comes up like nothing in that

I'd honestly go for something lower than 3.73, although my car is a stop light ROCKET, it kinda is unsatisfying in 3rd gear runs, but if you're looking to kick alot of cars asses at stop lights 3.73 is a good choice. Get r Done, beating 5.0s in an e30 is very, very satisfying.

3.73 diff, I'm not particularly nice to it, and its chipped with magnaflow high flow, with a small leak before the cat in the flange. No extreme mods, I'm doin' 23 on the highway at 79mph, following about 10 cars behing another, so I don't know what the issue is, highway is no issue, city is crap. I also do alot of up and down hills though. Toyo proxes 4's are pretty sticky too saw about -1mpg after install.
