Interest in Bolt on Turbo kit?
Hah! Yeah, M42s are cheap, right? Right?
I'm installing ARP head studs soon (just got them in yesterday) in preparation for that same urge.Last edited by Ocell; 07-26-2014, 07:17 AM.

Now that its running better than I thought I am getting ready to put her up in the garage and strip everything down. On the list will be:
- ARPs
- Cleanup Simon's Mess
- Replace Starter
- Install COPs
- Install Volvo Fan
- Fix Oil Pan Screws
- Figure out leak between engine and transmission (engine oil - not getting into clutch)
- Replace Timing Chain
Anyone have other items they think would be useful I'm listening.work in progress

One thing I wanted to mention is that I wasn't really so impressed with the tune, until I replaced my O2 sensor! It made all the difference in the world and fixed an idle problem I had been having before installing the turbo. Car runs better and smoother now than it ever has.
While on the topic of fixing things. I finally got the correct dimmer switch from Pelican and as hoped it gave me back my dash lights.work in progress

This is on an m42 with around 160k on it and the clutch that came with the engine. Now...who knows if it is stock or how many miles are on it. But he thrashes it pretty good.
So ARPs..a good clutch. m20 would be good...and go to 15psi it will be happy. We might need to tweek the tune some.www.classicdaily.net

Wanted to throw something out there specifically about Jake's tune. I am running my own custom setup. Its similar to Jake's kit, but defiantly not the same. I was running jakes tune at first before swapping over to megasquirt. I recently had my car on the dyno and made 180hp/185tq at the wheels Sae corrected on a dynojet. Jake's tune was defiantly more powerful than these numbers. The car pulled much harder before I swapped over to MS. I wouldn't be surprised if his kit made 190-195whp.
