I used the redline assembly lube on my engine when I put it together, but I have also used the generic auto store assembly lube too. I really don't think it matters too much honestly :) Just make sure you use something!

Im watching your build with excitement. Cant wait to see the results.

Top of pistons look good. Gasket surface looks good.

A little more cleaning and time for reassembly :-)

M20 flywheel conversion finished. First impression = disappointment and waste of money. Didn't noticed much of a difference. There is A difference but not a big one. Maybe not enough driving yet?
I don't mean to interrupt your thread, but I am looking into this mod myself. Do you still not think it is worth the money? What weight was your flywheel lightened to? I was thinking the stock m20 fly would be good at ~19 lbs. I don't like dropping too far from stock ~27 lbs.

Flywheel conversion is good. My expectations were a little unrealistic. I was thinking my little M42 was going to rev like an F1 engine :-)

Radiator installed with new coolant hoses. Dropped the lower oil pan expecting to find a bolt or 2 in the pan.... found nothing...... everything in tact :-)

Started to hook up fuel injectors and fuel rail to the throttle bodies just to find out that the fuel rail isn't a direct bolt on :-(

                    Hopefully progress continues today.

Will wire up the alpha-n control box Sunday (working Saturday). Welding up a new exhaust section to replace the catalytic converter tomorrow night. Tying up loose ends in the next few days. Hopefully will fire up this weekend....... we'll see :-)
