Cool. I saw that you were gonna go with an ls7, whyd you switch to a 3? Is it bone stock?
I started with all suspension, chassis, brake, steering, etc stuff. Should be finishing that all up within a monthish before I even start thinking about dropping the block in, picking up a t56, picking up a diff and some axles. So its cool that you're at that stage, that would be awesome if you would make a thread so I can see how everything goes and what you have issues with and so on.Comment

I was promised an ls7 but couldn't wait. I found a gm performance ls3 with a hot cam. My family has a shop specializing in corvettes and from experience the ls3 is a more reliable engine. With a cam it makes 480hp which is plenty. We've dynoed a similar engine to mine at over 500 wheel horsepower.Comment

Nice, thatll be a fun engine. Thats awesome your family has a shop, sure as hell would make this a lot easier. Should be a blast, keep us updated if you can! And yeah I agree about the ls3 vs ls7, that was probably a good choice. I was thinking about both when I started too and decided against the 7.Comment

No the shop deals with a company called motors state. Its a t56 magnum with long ratios. You can also get a close ratio setup but I thought it might be to much for 24 inch tires.Comment

F body is the right set up. I've lined mine up with sikky mounts. RPM transmission is really well known for there work. Look them up.Comment
