Ya i assumed that was normal b/c everyone always bitches about M20 lifter tap, i just assumed that was normal. I'll get them done over spring break when I do the the auxilary fan upgrade. Ya the sound clips suck honestly, sounds much better in person. I think im gonna do the magnaflow resonator anyways so it doesn't really matter anyways. I want it to be alittle more streetable than it is. 22" magnaflow should be perfect

-Who "gets them done"? Do it, now. It takes, like, 45 minutes.

I imagine my M20 will feature the <50 dollar broken rocker arm mod when I try to rev it near 8000.

don't you mean 6950? im pretty sure a stock m20 wont go to 8,000 for very long... but if it can, more power to you

what exactly are resonators for? i wasn't aware they did anything useful.

I had to get a custom chip made, also, I'm not stroking it. I doubt you'd live very long at 8000 with the comparatively poor casting and longer stroke of the eta crank.

I'll post more details eventually. Basically, I'm doing an actual "budget" engine mod thing to see how much horsepower I can get out of a m20b25 by not working on the bottom end, and spending in the realm of 1000-1500.

Also, it may not need to rev to 8000 when all is said and done, but it's definitely going to be living well above 7000. I'm more worried about the rocker arms than anything else.

You've got other people doing a hell of a lot of work on your car to be calling it a budget project. Maybe I should start my own "budget" project.

Step 1: get sponsorship. have said sponsor do all the work.
                              Step 2: ???
Step 3: post about how the rest of the community is throwing away their money.
