the whole time i thought the inner diameter of the bearing was different.

yes sir, that makes z3 hub fit inside of e30 hub. That's the premise for this write-up.

just realized something. the Z3 I6 and the 87-91 e30 I6 use the same rear wheel bearings.

The rotor spacing is 1 and 1/16th different from an E30 to the E36 Rear rotor.

You need to get rid of the parking brake shield.

Thanks again, Rob. I edited my site to reflect these new findings. Still not sure what the difference in hubs or rotors is, but for swappers sake, I'd rather have accurate information...

I'll be spending time with caliper to figure out the difference. They looked one to one to me, maybe there's some subtle difference I've overlooked.

Good observation and addition Robmespeedy, thank you.

    ^ that's where I don't see the logic...

    IF

    318ti hub = z3 1.9L hub

    AND

    z3 1.9L Rotor = z3 I6 Rotor

AND all caliper carriers are the same.

AND all brake pads are the same

    THEN

318ti Rotor and all z3 rotors should be the same.

    There's some monkey business.

BMA shows them to be the same, but my ETK and WorldPAC doesn't. So better safe than sorry. Someone chime in on this issue.
the z3 1.9 and the z3 I6's use the same rotors.

but the 318ti rotors are not the same as the z3's

asking the wrong person, but if Massive sells e30m3 rear BBKs then yes, hubs are all you need.

So let me get this straight. If I plan to use a big brake conversion such a Massive's, all I need is to buy E30 M3 rear hubs. Correct?
