Are the subframes of the MZ3 and e30 different? Since the car is my daily I would really love to just throw new bushings in the MZ3 rear suspension and swap the entire package in at once. -
I want to do this, but I've got a budget. How much does this usually cost on average?Leave a comment:

Because I have a set of pristine TRX wheels? Because it would be lots of fun to run bottle caps with somewhat of a lip? Because it just makes sense to have a little fun.Leave a comment:

Oh, whoops. I thought this was the front hub thread. Just looked for a long thread in this subforum lol. Oops!Leave a comment:

Why would you want to run TRX wheels? Have fun buying tires for those things, and not to mention they're hideous.Leave a comment:

:) Tell me what you want to know, I'm sure there's something.
Personally I want to figure out a swap to run e28 TRX bottle caps. I figured out the rear, not quite there on the front yet. e28 brake rotor fits on e36 hub, but locator bolt is offset differently. Maybe one day when I have more time and access to a machine shop again, I'll knock it out.Leave a comment:

MZ3 uses e36m3 wheel bearing and brakes.
Pic above is I6-Z3 trailing arms and hubs... It didn't work out in the end.Leave a comment:

It must use bigger axels too? So same length, but the bore that the wheel bearing is bigger to accomidate the bigger axels and hub diameter? or can I use those trailing arms that I have laying around (Z3 2.8i) with Z3M wheel bearings and hubs, so I can run M3 brakes around?
Thanks for clearing things up!
Im pretty sure the wheel bearing OD is bigger on the M-Z3 arm, dunno if the ID is the same. if it was everyone would just put E36 flanges in their E30 arms with M-z3 brakesLeave a comment:

Have you personally used mz3 trailing arms? They will make your wheels sit out about 2 inches wider then your stock trailing arms will from memory (saw them sitting on a garage floor), it's definitely not an option unless you find wheels with an offset of like et70 or don't mind doing a lot of body work.Leave a comment:
